Dr. Dhillon became a medical doctor in
his native India, graduating at age 22
from Punjab University. He received
his Masters degree in Orthopaedic
Surgery from India's most prestigious
institutions at age 26. He continued
his training in England, serving as
Senior House Officer of Orthopaedics
at Leigh Infirmary in Lancashire, and
as Registrar of Orthopaedic Surgery at
Royal Albert Edward Infirmary. Dr.
Dhillon came to America in 1971,
completing an Orthopaedic Surgery
residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital,
and serving as Chief Resident in
Orthopaedic Surgery at Bronx
Municipal Hospital and Albert Einstein
College of Medicine. He built his
practice in Smithfield, North Carolina
before establishing Dhillon
Orthopaedics in Raleigh in 1990, now
the Capital Orthopaedics & Sports
Medicine Center.
