William O. McCraney, MD

Hand & Upper Extremity
Back to all Surgeons »

Dr. McCraney was raised in Jackson and is a University of Mississippi Cum Laude graduate, where he was a member of the Golden Key, Alpha Epsilon Delta, and Omicron Delta Kappa honor societies. Dr. McCraney then went on to graduate from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine before completing his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery. During residency, Dr. McCraney also completed an AO/ASIF trauma fellowship in Switzerland.  In 2006, Dr. McCraney completed a hand and upper extremity fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He is also Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and holds professional licensure in Mississippi.

In his spare time, Dr. McCraney enjoys spending time on his farm with his wife, who is his high school sweetheart, and their three kids. He firmly believes that orthopedic patients place a lot of trust in their surgeons to do the right thing – both accurately and successfully in and out of surgery. Dr. McCraney takes this responsibility to heart and has a reputation for treating each of his patients in the same way he would treat his own family.
